Coming Soon: SOAR House

We are pleased to announce the exciting news that as a result of the generosity of a benevolent investor, SOAR has acquired the property at 300 Brown Street in Jackson.

SOAR (She Overcomes and Rises) was born out of a desire to provide healing, housing, and employment for women survivors of human trafficking, addiction, and sexual trauma. We are already well on our way to accomplishing our mission through volunteer mentorships taking place in prison and jail, mentorships in the general community, a weekly community group, product making, educational opportunities, and more! But so much more can be accomplished with the establishment of a home where women can be nurtured.

From the inception of SOAR, it has been our desire to partner with the community in accomplishing our mission of helping women find their way home from the trauma that they have experienced. There are many opportunities to help advance SOAR’s objectives that will be possible with the acquisition of our new home and property on Brown Street, and YOU may be able to assist us in reaching those goals. We envision a comprehensive transformation, but in order to accomplish that dream, much work needs to take place.  In order to catch a glimpse of our vision first-hand, we invite you to an Open House at 300 Brown Street on Sunday, October 13, 2019 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Come and share our joy, gratefulness, and vision, and contemplate whether there might be something YOU can do to help bring life and hope to survivors!

In case you haven’t yet heard, there is another coming opportunity to support SOAR. There will be a benefit Masquerade Gala taking place on October 25th at the Country Club of Jackson. This fundraiser includes dinner, artful entertainment, a DJ and dancing.  You can purchase tickets at  We would love to have you join us for this special evening.

We are amazed by what God has allowed SOAR to accomplish, and we look forward to establishing this much-needed place of refuge for women. Come be a part of the ongoing miracle!
