We are pleased to announce the exciting news that as a result of the generosity of a benevolent investor, SOAR has acquired the property at 300 S. Brown Street in Jackson. SOAR (She Overcomes and Rises) was born out of a desire to provide healing, housing, and employment for women survivors of human trafficking, addiction, and sexual trauma. We are already well on our way to accomplishing our mission through volunteer mentorships taking place in prison and jail, mentorships in the general community, a weekly community group, product making, educational opportunities, and more! But so much more can be accomplished with the establishment of a home where women can be nurtured.
From the inception of SOAR, it has been our desire to partner with the community in accomplishing our mission of helping women find their way home from the trauma that they have experienced. There are many opportunities to help advance SOAR’s objectives that will be possible with the acquisition of our new home and property on Brown Street, and YOU may be able to assist us in reaching those goals. We envision a comprehensive transformation, but in order to accomplish that dream, much work needs to take place.
We are amazed by what God has allowed SOAR to accomplish, and we look forward to establishing this much-needed place of refuge for women. Come be a part of the ongoing miracle!
